Wednesday's Women

Join the Book Club



Participation in the Wednesday's Women Book Club is a benefit to being a Broward Public Library Foundation member at the $100 Bibliophile level or higher. Wednesday's Women groups meet regularly for friendship and stimulating conversation about the assigned book.



For your convenience, Wednesday's Women reading groups meet in both eastern and western Broward County with two separate chapters and schedules.


Wednesday's Women West meets monthly, the third Wednesday of the month from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Meetings are currently being held at the Weston Library Branch (4205 Bonaventure Boulevard in Weston).


The 2024-2025 season's books will be:

  • Sept. 18, 2024 - The Museum of Failures by Thrity Umrigar
  • Oct. 16, 2024 - The Secret Book of Flora Lea by Patti Callahan Henry
  • Nov. 20, 2024 - Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
  • Dec. 18, 2024 - Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man's Fight for Justice by Bill Browder
  • January 15, 2025 - The Women by Kristin Hannah
  • February 19, 2025 - The Foundling by Ann Leary
  • March 19, 2025 - To Be Determined
  • April 16, 2025 - To Be Determined
  • May 21, 2025 - The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride by Joe Siple
  • June 18, 2025 - To Be Determined


Wednesday's Women East meetings take place at the Pompano Beach Branch Library (3250 NE 2nd Street) from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm.

  • November 13, 2024 - The Lioness of Boston by Emily Franklin
  • January 8, 2025 - The Women by Kristin Hannah
  • March 12, 2025 - Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver
  • May 14, 2025 - Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton
  • July 9, 2025 - Dutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II by Robert Matzen
